Fred and Debbie Rufner's 1972 Javelin

1972 Javelin

After almost a year and a half, the Javelin is back on the road. Fred bought the Javelin in 1976 and like so many of us, parked the car in the early eighties to take care of more important issues such as raising a family and putting them through college. In 2012, Fred decided it was his turn and the restoration began. The car Has a 70 390 with T-10 4 speed trans. Stock rear was swapped out for the HD Posi fitted with 3.55 gears and Moser axles. Other owner influenced mods were grafting a 70 AMX hood skin to the 72 and the strobe type stripe on the qtrs. The car was originally finished in purple and remains that color.

Many thanks go out to Fred and Debbie for letting us bring the Javelin back to life and build his dream car.
